The Old Lady Ghost (2009)

For two years I worked on a private estate doing many various things for the owner. Often I would stay overnight for different things (parties, long work days, rituals, relaxing, or out of boredom). Everyone who worked at the estate was very aware of an old female spirit which also lived in the estate. The spirit was mostly seen as a passing black, wispy mist on the top floors. The owners saw the spirit a few times not moving but standing atop the staircase and they said it was an old female dressed in 19th century black garb. Often we would hear her say something or hear her move something or open a door. This story was the most freaky experience I had with her.

I was staying the night at the estate due to the owners were out of town and I was relegated to watch the house and dogs overnight. Throughout the day, only my friend (boss) and I were at the estate working; everyone else was off or gone for the day. The day was rather bleak and boring, not much to do. In the afternoon my friend (we will now call "Bert") and I got on the conversation of ghosts. Not long into our discussion we started talking about the old lady spirit in the house. Not more than 1 minute later we heard a crash in the basement. Now the basement was not a basement in the standard terms. This basement was fully finished with a large club room carpeted and paneled, a workout room, a full library, and bathroom. There were two giant soft leather couches and a huge 3D TV... so it was more a living quarters than a traditional basement. Now when we heard a crash in the basement we went downstairs to check it out. We noticed nothing odd, nothing fell and nothing was broken. So Bert and I knew it had to be the old lady ghost.

Bert and I decided next to set out a recorder and try to get an EVP in the basement. We walked the entire house first and let all the dogs outside in the yard. The house was empty of all lifeforms, except us. We started our session asking a few brief questions, then we announced that we were going to leave the house and if the ghost lady wanted to say anything, feel free to speak into the recorder we were leaving on. We came into the house about few minutes later. Upon checking the recorder we heard our questions with no responses; however, after hearing us leave and shut the outside door behind us we heard footsteps in the room above us. Then we heard footsteps coming down the steps into the basement and then walking over to the recorder. The recorder had a fuzzy sound and a thud on the table and then the spirit you could hear quickly running off and seconds after we could be heard re-entering the house and talking.

Bert left around 5pm and I of course was staying. The rest of the evening went quiet with no activity at all. Around midnight I laid down on the leather couch in the basement ready to go to sleep. After a little while I was at that point where you are almost asleep, but still alert to your surroundings. Now things got weird. As I laid there I heard my name called out across the room behind me. It was plain as day obviously my name. It was spoken at a loudness just below regular talking levels. It sounded kinda wispy or airy, kinda higher pitched and definitely female. I remained silent and laid very still. A minute later I heard my name called again exactly the same way. I remained silent and acted as though I was sleeping. A few seconds after that I heard my name called again; this time is was much closer to me, but still behind me (behind the couch). I didn't want to move, but I was freaked out and I was laying in an awkward position with my arm behind my head sticking up into then air over the couch. Seconds after I felt an ice cold hand grab my wrist! I quickly yanked it away and sat up. I shouted out for her to show herself or speak up. It was pure silence. I sat on the couch upright for about ten minutes talking to the spirit, but I got no responses at all.

After this encounter she was seen often like before; however, she never touched nor spoke out to me again.

Aspecting: A Clear Perspective for the Laymen and Pro (2013)

Aspecting (commonly termed possession) is explained briefly below. One involved in a non-traditional religion (be it rookie or experienced journeyman) should be well informed of possession and its positives and dangers. I personally have been involved in aspecting (possession) for 30 years now. My first aspecting experiences were taught to me by my Iroquois grandfather (whom was a true and last of his kind shaman) when I was 12 years old. Since, I have made extreme advances (within my own regards) to find myself and become one with my great patron deity. My experiences have been extremely positive and at times very negative (as many friends throughout my life will tell you, it’s not always good to be around someone under possession and at other times it is amazingly rewarding to all present). Throughout my journey, I have become quite accepting of purpose, limitations, addictions, hates and loves, and overall reality of my past, present and future. Aspecting will bring forth great truths and great deceptions… both must be understood and accepted when dancing with the gods, spirits and unknown forces.

A fast word of upfront advice: Many people wander off from the largest common religious paths (the big four: Buddhism, Christianity, Judaism, and Islam) to explore the world of “taboo, underground or non-traditional” faith based paths. These paths often incur the workings with spirits, demons, god/dess', faeries, deceased humans, lesser deities, multidimensional beings or the like; whatever term you use is yours, but it all invokes the same inherent risks. Aspecting is rarely used in most non-traditional religions; however, in some paths it is necessary or used randomly at times. I will not discuss the uses of possession which is very, very rarely used in extremely, micro-obscure sects of Christianity, Judaism, and Buddhism.

Aspecting with regards to “non-traditional” religions involves when a flesh and blood human undergoes a state of possession by a multidimensional being, spirit, demon, entity or god/dess; either within a controlled solo state, a mass ritual state, or random uncontrolled state. Some individuals define aspecting as connecting with the “divine” and channeling as connecting with “spirits or other beings”. Terminology is loose but tomato/ tomatoe.

Forms of Aspecting:
1) Ritual aspecting tends to be the most common form. It is used in both mass and private rituals or celebrations throughout West/ Central Africa, South America, Central America, the Caribbean, South Pacific, Australia, North America and Indonesia. Possession is invoked during an organized state of ritual at which some point possession is desired. Mostly it targets only certain individuals which are seeking to aspect with a spirit or multidimensional being for ritual purpose. Usually this form of possession is focused on bringing a higher power into the ritual to offer insight, answers, information, guidance, advice, or predictions. These rituals are well prepared and many forms of control are in place to prevent a host human from becoming fully overcome or terminally possessed by a spirit, god, being or entity.
2)  Controlled solo aspecting is less common and quite risky, but it occurs when an individual is by oneself and is seeking possession by spirits or other multidimensional powers for insight, knowledge, visions, connections, worship, or healing. It can be done via indoors or outdoors ritual. Usually desire, intent, and preparation are in place by the individual seeking such possession. The greatest majority of humans attempting this form of aspecting will often find themselves the majority of time left with no possession or contact by the gods, spirits, entities, or other beings… simply ignored. Solo aspecting when full possession is reached; I feel however, is the most rewarding form of aspecting. It is directed, personal, very upfront, very informative about one’s needs and questions, purpose, and full of instruction from deity for the human servant to reach oneness. Solo aspecting is also the most difficult to understand how to do and accomplish. Many people confirm full solo aspecting with a deity or higher spirit while by themselves; not to say yes or no, but the majority of the time it is simply being too drunk or too high or too drugged on something, which gives one a false sense of unity with a god or spirit. Its the drug or drink altering the mind to make it believe what you want to believe. (Natural sources of hallucinogens and forms of alcohol are often used a gateway to calm the mind and body so it can gain direct focus on aspecting and leave the daily life far behind).

3) Random uncontrolled aspecting is extremely rare and usually hits one quick with no warning. It can only be confirmed by others which observe the human under a fast state of possession. The human host rarely to never remembers it occurring and recalls nothing of the journey. Random uncontrolled aspecting happen under three conditions: full demonic possession and control, full-out achieved oneness with a god/dess, or great power, or a super random choosing of a higher power that selects a human target for an instant purpose.
            A) Full demonic possession is exactly as it sounds. Just as we see in the movies about demonic or dark possession. Some random humans are selected for no obvious reason at some point in life as hosts for very dark entities. The demons reasons behind their needs of a human host can never be rationalized by everyday humans. The host human usually operates normally in life, with time to time, dark overtaking by the demon to commit very evil tasks or undertakings. These people tend be easily noticed by the masses with up front signs of insanity, concealment, guilty, dark, mean, highly aggressive, and plain ruthless to no end.
            B) Achieved oneness with deity is considered the highest form of spiritualism by those seeking to be a walking representation of their patron deity. At this highest point of one’s physical life, their patron deity has given the highest attention to this flesh walker. This individual has achieved many goals and agendas for the deity. They have time and time again gone to the highest measures to meet that god’s goal for them. This form of aspecting is greatly discussed in the Kabala. This person is open and never closed to being possessed by his/ her deity at anytime, anywhere, and anyhow. Aspecting is easily achieved by this individual as a pathway of connection is always open. Often these people are seen by the masses as being confused, aimless, crazy, out of touch, mystic, intriguing or just plain weird.
            C) Random choosing is just as it says, random and very unique to situation. Often these people will only achieve this state of possession once in their lives. Their aspecting is forced by a higher power, some say angels or spirits. This is the type of fast, unwarned possession that overcomes a person suddenly to warn of a mass horrific event, or a mysterious confusion which overtakes the person and places them out of harm’s way, or human who suddenly gains super human strengths and abilities to render a dire situation null, or one who is taking over by a higher power to save many people at an instant time of need. Many people interviewed after one of these tragic events almost always says, “it felt as though I was over taking by some higher power and was given the ability to help or save without even being harmed myself.”

The Inner Sanctum Project (2013)

I had this dream just the other evening. It was quite brief and direct. Nothing much else to say, but it was a quick dimensional travel to a world of forgotten gods and heros.

My dream started with me hanging around in an ancient period of time amongst many people and creatures in a massive marble built series of rooms. All the structures were worn down and dirty (almost to the point of ruins). The rooms were very large, being hundreds of feet across and thirty plus feet tall. Large marble pillars held all of the ceilings up and divided the rooms. The floors were like one massive flat grade of marble surface; smooth, gray, cold and moist. The exit/ entrance of each room was a large, ancient, squared archway.

My story began as I stood in a far corner of the main room (later I found out it was called the inner temple/ sanctum). I was speaking to a few individuals which I cannot remember anything about other than a fading everyday conversion. Many people and creatures wandered with daily intent throughout the structure. At this point I felt within my dream that some sort of reconstruction was in place. Suddenly all became quiet and everyone froze in place. A distant, buffered and growing louder thump... thump started approaching from down a long hallway.

The loud footsteps stopped at the main archway and before us stood a twenty foot tall humanoid. He was middle-aged with a full yet short brown beard and short messy brown hair. He wore clothes which are more common to today's humans; cut-off dark jeans with a red and black flannel shirt. His build was massive and very intimidating. He looked very annoyed by his facial features.

The next step the giant made was to walk under the archway and press his hands and shoulders against the archway's top beam. He pressed upwards with no straining and pushed the beam upwards. The beam made a loud boom and "snapped" into place. Dust, gravel and dirt fell down all over him. He shook off the dirt and immediately made eye contact with me. (This honestly scared me badly). At that very point I said "Hercules".

Hercules (yes it was) started briskly walking towards me, as people moved quickly aside. He stopped a few feet from me and stared down. With a stern voice he said to me, "You build a maze in this sanctum! With a thousand walls and a thousand plants and trees. Don't Fail!" Then he walked off fast and disappeared down the long hallway.

My initial fear of him "Hercules" faded quickly and I became angry. I asked, "Why would he dare demand me to complete such a massive task when we stand on equal grounds in the heavens?" I left the room by myself and wandered the ancient streets trying to make sense of this all. Next I found myself coming across the presence of a very old man. He had a white beard, white bushy hair and skin as white as snow. He was dressed very simple.

As we casually walked together down the old streets and alleyways, the old man asked, "What is bothering you?" I told him of my encounter with Hercules and his demands of me. He nodded and replied, "Ah Yes, the old inner temple project. A lot of work to done, but it will be a wonder to behold when it is complete."

I asked the old man if there was anything I should know or do? He offered only a few things: A massive minotaur will be placed in the maze, a giant turtle will wander freely in the maze as a caretaker, and the flowers and trees will offer peace and calm to those venturing in. The last thing he said was, "If you need any help, everyone will help you proudly if you ask them. Remember your position and status among us!"

I next awoke abruptly as a massive thunderstorm was rocking outside of my house.

When the Crow Calls (2013)

I was told often from my Bohemian Grandmom many folklore, traditions, secrets, and old wives tales since my earliest years on Earth. One of my favorites which holds to this day to be the most accurate and freakishly true is the tale of when the crow comes and calls to you (physically). You would imagine with my Native American past that this omen would be told very often; but it oddly is not mentioned. So It remains an "old world" folklore.

When the "Crow Calls" is a physical experience which occurs too many of us. Those of us in tune with nature and the folklore pay serious attention when this happens. Those of us that are not in touch with nature or have no clue about the tale, live life possibly ignoring or overlooking a tell tale message sent to them by the powers that over see all.

It has been told for hundreds of years by Europeans that lived under the guise of mystic or gypsy "status" that the crow is synonymous with death or bad happenings. It was told to me first by my "ancient" grandmother (Bohemian and from a family of outcast gypsies in 1922). The tale is quite simple: when a single crow stands upon your porch, window or on a branch looking inward or directly at you, calling out loudly to you for no apparent reason... he is a messenger of death or bad omen sent as a warning from a higher power. It is a warning to either: 1) a close friend of family member will die very soon or 2) you or someone close to you will suffer a life altering experience or near death experience. Never will the crow tell you in advance of your own sudden death, that is up to your own gods or hierarchical beings which guard and watch you.

Being told this folklore probably when I was around 8 years old or so it was kinda weird and creepy to me; however, it has repeatedly been true and accurate for my entire life since. I wanted to share a few of these warnings from the crows followed by the incidents. (Many things may have occurred in addition to these examples, but to be honest, I can't remember them all, I never wrote them down.)

(My first remembered warning): In 1982, the crow yelled at me in my backyard on a branch of a tree I climbed everyday, it scared me because I had remembered what my grandmom said. The following day was Thanksgiving: my mom and dad got in a huge argument at dinner and my father stormed out of the house and never came back. They were divorced within that same year.

2) 1988 (March 1). The crow visited me on my window sill very early in the AM before school. He yelled and knocked on my window waking me up. I knew the sign at this time. That evening I got a call that my grandfather was really sick. So I went over to see him in his bed. He said: "he has always loved me the most and will always look after me." That evening he had a major heart attack and died in bed.

3) 1988 (New Years Eve). I was skateboarding by myself in my neighborhood. A crow soared down on a metal fence and started yelling directly at me for like 5 minutes. That night my brother John died in a house fire at my step mom's house. He had a party and someones cigarette caught the carpet and house on fire. He and all of his were passed out. Only John died, the rest got out ok.

4) 1989. The crow visited in the morning again knocking on my window and crowing. Two days later my friend Chris from high school died in a car crash in Loch Raven, MD.

5) 1990. A crow visited me again in the morning knocking on my window and screaming. A few days later another friend, Peter from high school, committed suicide by driving his car off a steep cliff because his girlfriend broke up with him. Again in Loch Raven, MD.

6) 1994. Another visit from a crow yelling at me. I received word two days later on a Saturday morning that my good friend Paul died in a DWI accident in Parkville, MD after leaving a party that we were all at together.

7) 1997. I had a very creepy visit this time. I was visiting my paternal grandfathers grave site on Memorial Day. A crow flew down on his tombstone and began cawing loudly. I actually shewed him off. A week later, my paternal (Native American) grandfather died in Boston.

7) 2002. I went to a gun range to go shooting with a very close buddy of mine. While at the range a crow landed on the gun stand roof and started going insane, yelling, knocking and even flying in our faces. I felt an omen this time very strong but stayed quite. On our way home Tom mentioned that "one day he would use his handgun to kill himself", then he laughed. I said, "that would be one hell of a mess beings its a .357 magnum". He shot himself in the head two days later in his dorm room at Salisbury College, MD in front of 2 of his college buddies.

8) 2005. I kept getting thoughts of my friend Joe (who knew Tom closely). I hadn't seen him since Tom's funeral. I got a morning visit on a beautiful summer morning from a crow that landed on my trucks hood and started yelling at me. Two or three days later Joe killed himself at a party in front of a room full of people.

9) 2006. The crow called to me in the early AM hours again. That same day a very close person to me got in a major car accident and very, very luckily was not killed. Her car was hit and smashed into a guard rail by a fully loaded dump truck in rush hour traffic.

10) 2008. I was in the Outer Banks, NC taking a morning walk on the beach. A crow landed on a piling literally 5 feet from me and starred me down big time. After about two minutes of direct eye contact, he started cawing at me, like in my face. He had no fear at all of me. I turned and walked away fearing again. That same day I had a serious situation which I could not get out of that affected me for years after.

11) 2012. Around 7am it was a beautiful late spring day. I had my patio door fully open. I started hearing the loud cawing of a crow. I did not want to go to the door to check it out, but I did. A crow was sitting about 6 feet away on a post in my garden. He was looking at me yelling his head off. After about 2 minutes he took off. I feared the worst and stayed in the house the whole day. The following day I received a call that my old best friend Dane had died suddenly at 40 years old!

So take it for what is worth. An omen bird to me, may be a blessing to you. BUT, pay attention to natures messenger's... they are paying attention to you.
